Teen Lounge rolls on

We just got word that we have our funding in place to continue Teen Lounge! This means that in Lawrencetown and Windsor, TL will continue once a week for the whole year! We’ll be offering TL twice a month in Berwick, and once a month in Middleton, Kentville, and Wolfville.

We’ll be showing movies in Lawrencetown, Kentville, Wolfville, and Windsor, — we are already making plans to show “Whip It” starring Nova Scotia’s own Ellen Page during March Break, so keep your eyes open for dates and times.

For those who aren’t familiar with Teen Lounge, here’s what it is: two hours of library time just for ages 12-18. You can use our computers, play Wii games (like Mario Cart and Wii Play). We have lots of great board games such as Apples to Apples and Guesstures. Sometimes, we even have FREE food!

So watch for our upcoming schedule, and come check out the library. We’ve got great new books, but so much more. See you there!

Shiver is a YouTube sensation

Ok, I may seem obsessed with this book. I’m not, really, but it looks like a lot of other people are! AnnaValley is following Maggie Stiefvater on Twitter, and she posted a link to a video she made. Of course, once you get to YouTube, there’s a million other videos to distract you. And I noticed a lot of them were about Shiver!

There are the book trailers, like this one, and some of my favourites are the casting choices, like this one. The author has several trailers, such as this one .

There’s a lot of buzz on YouTube about this book, check it out! So, if you are wondering what life after Twilight is like, now you know where to go. Shiver. And PS, I am still holding that copy of the sequel, Linger. Message me on Facebook if you want it (and can get to one of our libraries to pick it up), or leave a comment here. Now go read Shiver, by Maggie Steifvater.
