What are you planning for Earth Hour? How about a get-together with friends. Light some candles and tell ghost stories. Hang out in the dark and play Sardines (which is backwards Hide & Seek– one person hides, everyone else looks for them– when you find them, you stay there together until the last person finds you all!)
Read a book by hand-powered flashlight. Take a walk in the dark. How about an hour-long bike ride at 8:30? An Earth-Hour party? The possibilities are endless!

We’ll be showing movies in Lawrencetown, Kentville, Wolfville, and Windsor, — we are already making plans to show “Whip It” starring Nova Scotia’s own Ellen Page during March Break, so keep your eyes open for dates and times.

For those who aren’t familiar with Teen Lounge, here’s what it is: two hours of library time just for ages 12-18. You can use our computers, play Wii games (like Mario Cart and Wii Play). We have lots of great board games such as Apples to Apples and Guesstures. Sometimes, we even have FREE food!

There’s a lot of buzz on YouTube about this book, check it out! So, if you are wondering what life after Twilight is like, now you know where to go. Shiver. In this one, as the book opens, Sam is working at the bookstore, Grace is back to school, but then… Grace finds a dead wolf in the woods, and Sam discovers that one of the new wolves is having trouble being human. Isabel is back in this book, as well as a new wolf character. That’s all I’m saying! You’ll have to wait until July for the book to come out. Until then… I am giving this copy away, but you’ll have to find me on Facebook to find out how to get it.

On another note… there’s a few other books you might want to get your paws on. LIAR by Justine Larbalestier and BLOOD AND CHOCOLATE by Annette Curtis Klause. If you like werewolves, that is.
